Brian Fisher makes his mark at Numark
Quantum Pharma Group Commercial Director Brian Fisher took to the stage at the International Numark Conference last month with an engaging presentation about the importance of differentiation for pharmacies, once again demonstrating our ongoing support to our community pharmacy customers.
The biennial event which took place in Buenos Aires between 8th-12th March provided Numark pharmacists with the ideal opportunity to get together to discuss the current challenges faced by community pharmacy. Key speakers included John D' Arcy and Mandeep Mudhar of Numark Ltd, as well as our own Brian Fisher .
Brian highlighted the need for pharmacies to differentiate themselves from competitors in order to truly meet customer needs; he explored five routes for delegates to achieve this using price, service, range, quality and design.
Brian asked pharmacists to question what their customer base looks like now and think about what it will look like in five years' time. He gave examples of companies such as Woolworths who had failed to differentiate and urged pharmacy to take precautions to avoid going down a similar path. In conclusion, delegates agreed the future of pharmacy depends on reinvention and pragmatism as pharmacists' role increasingly becomes a blend of clinical credibility and business acumen.
